Sanitize Wristband

Sanitize Wristband is a hybrid design of a wristband and a hand sanitizer pump to combat a pandemic like COVID-19 fashionably and functionally. This wearable design is inspired by Spiderman's web-shooter device but more like a gel-shooter. The goal is to make hand sanitizers extremely portable, easy-access just like wearing a watch or a wristband with a simple gesture to clean the hands effectively. It consists of a silicone wristband, a copper plate, copper studs, and three hydro-alcoholic gel cartridges. Silicone is flexible and washable, and copper is known as a naturally antimicrobial material and kills certain viruses on contact. Each refillable silicone cartridge has a 2.35ml capacity, which is enough of two hand-rub applications for effective hand disinfection. The cartridge has a nozzle, which can be calibrated to control the projectile pressure of a squirt of hydro-alcoholic gels. It can be refilled and reloaded on the copper plate. To disinfect, position the palm upward and use the other hand to calibrate the nozzle pressure of the cartridge and gently squeeze one of the silicon pad of the wristband to dispense hydro-alcoholic gels on the palm and rub it together to apply. Sanitize Wristband suggests one of the practical possibilities of enhanced hygiene to prevent and slow the COVID-19 spread.
